A Vibrant Fiesta Wedding: Anna & Calum

Anna and Calum brought so much creativity and warmth to their wedding day at Manor Hill House. With bright colours, handmade decorations, and a fun, relaxed atmosphere, the day truly reflected their personalities and close-knit family bonds. Here’s a look at how it all came together.

Anna and Calum’s story began back in their university days. Calum’s sister lived across from Anna in the halls, and they met when he came to visit. That chance encounter turned into a seven-year relationship, and after spending those years together, he finally popped the question! They spent a year planning the wedding, making sure every detail represented their style and values.

They chose to hold their ceremony outdoors, under the pavilion on our lawn. The setting was beautiful and relaxed, framed by all of the lush greenery. Accompanied by some live acoustic music from singer Abi Phillips, who added a heartfelt touch to the ceremony with her voice and guitar. This created an intimate vibe that felt close to nature, which was important to the couple.

A Day of Festivities

The couple’s choice of decor was all about colour and creativity. Their fiesta-inspired colour scheme – burnt orange, mustard yellow, burgundy, red, and dusty pink – was brought to life with handmade decorations, including woollen pompoms, wildflower arrangements, and a custom welcome sign. Even the favours were handmade by Anna, using tissue-paper flowers in recycled spice jars that the family collected over the year. A mini rum bottle table plan added to the celebration’s lively, unique atmosphere. Anna & Calum felt that Manor Hill House provided the perfect blank canvas for this colourful decor, and we loved helping them set everything up to make their vision a reality.

Dancing, Fun, and a Piñata Cake

The couple added a few fun activities that made the reception memorable, including a bouncy castle from White Castle Events. When evening came, the party picked up with DJ Chris Smith, who had everyone dancing well into the night. One of the biggest hits of the night was the piñata cake—a playful twist on the traditional wedding cake that had everyone cheering as the couple took turns breaking it open.
