Last month we celebrated the beautiful wedding of Jonah and Robinson at Manor Hill House. It was a romantic modern boho wedding, full of special moments and laughter throughout the day.

The big day began at Iglesia Ni Cristo church in Oldbury, followed by a wedding breakfast and evening celebrations at our exclusive use venue. The couple’s vision of a modern boho wedding reception came to life with the help of our on-hand wedding coordinators at Manor Hill House.

With family and friends at the centre of the celebrations, Jonah and Robinson we able to create their perfect wedding reception, filled with games, sunset photography and sparklers.

Adorning the marquee with elegant floral arrangements, filled with blush pinks and cream hues, the couple entered after being introduced by a 40-person entourage. On arrival, the wedding party enjoyed a bespoke collection of beautifully crafted canapes from our chef.

These included, locally sourced sausages and caramelised apple, smoked chicken, mango and dill filo parcels, smoked salmon with caviar on toasted bruschetta and mini vegetable samosas with sweet chilli dip.

The evening was accompanied by Abi Phillips, singing outside in the barn as guests arrived before the wedding party went on to perform songs of their own.

To continue the entertainment for the evening, the bride and groom decided to play a game of Mr & Mrs. A Mr and Mrs Quiz is really easy to organise and is guaranteed good fun, so it makes sense to play this game to break the ice and give everyone a good giggle.

As the evening went on pizza and ice cream were served to their guests before a sparkler exit. Sparklers aren’t just for Bonfire Night – they’ll light up your wedding whatever the time of year! What is it about wedding sparklers that makes them so magical?

Maybe it’s the look of childlike wonder on guests’ faces as they wave their hands and light up the night maybe it’s the fact that they make for some seriously romantic pictures, or maybe it’s simply that they’re so pretty.
