Child Friendly Wedding Venue: Everything You Need to Consider

Planning a wedding can be a stressful experience, especially if you have children. But what if we told you that it’s possible to have a stress-free wedding with your little ones in tow? At Manor Hill House, we pride ourselves on being a child friendly wedding venue, where you can celebrate your special day without worrying about your kids feeling left out.

From outdoor activities to indoor games, we offer a range of child-friendly options to keep your little ones entertained throughout the day.

At Manor Hill House we offer a number of amenities and child-friendly additions that can ensure the children attending your wedding are safe, happy and entertained.

Our range of garden games can be a useful addition for keeping your children amused during your wedding day. These can be placed on our beautiful front lawn so children (and more often than not, adults) can play whilst your guests enjoy drinks and canapés following your ceremony. We also have our very own football nets that can be put up in the lower field which can be a great addition for those football fans

If you’re looking for some extra entertainment why not consider a bouncy castle? There are some great white bouncy castles that look elegant and don’t clash with your wedding theme. Bouncy castles, if dry, can be put on the upper lawn in front of the house, if the lawn is damp, we can still have the bouncy castle on the lower paddock. If you’re having an outdoor ceremony do not worry your bouncy castle can be put up following this so it’s not in your photos!

We also have a sitting room that can be great for creating a child friendly space! Why not bring them iPads, board games and films for the kids to crash out and watch? Or how about a games console? This can be also a good room for babies in prams to sleep away from the wedding hustle and bustle.

At our child friendly wedding venue we offer a children’s drinks package and special menu. Our children’s drinks package can include fruit shoots, j20s, a variety of fizzy drinks and more. Our children’s menu is diverse with options from pizza with a side salad to battered fish goujons with chips and peas. If there’s a drink or food item not on the menu that you would like to provide for the children, please ask the team as we might be able to do this for you!

In two of our four bedrooms, there is extra space for two children in each room to sleep if bedding is brought in, we recommend airbeds, duvet and a pillow to be brought in for each child. We also have highchairs available on request, baby changing facilities and we are able to warm milk up if required.

Our fabulous sweet cart is a great addition for entertaining the children, we can provide the sweets ourselves or you can bring them in!

We recommend if you’re having children to your wedding that you offer activity packs, this is a great distraction for when speeches are going on. We also ask if you have over 10 children attending your wedding day that you organise crèche services.
