Tara and Josh’s Romantic Spring Wedding

Some love stories are written in the stars, but for Josh and Tara Williams, it began in the classroom. Having met at school and started their journey together at just 14 years old, their wedding on Wednesday, 16th April 2025, was a celebration of over a decade of shared memories.

In a beautiful full-circle moment, the couple chose to marry on the exact anniversary of their engagement at the Las Vegas sign three years prior.

Finding “The One” (Venue)

After touring ten different venues and even considering a wedding abroad, the couple finally stepped into Manor Hill House. “We just knew it was the right place; we could finally envision our day there,” Tara shares.

With a self-confessed “control freak” mind and a binder full of plans, Tara found a kindred spirit in the venue’s team. Whether it was perfectly mapping out the timings or answering “crazy 3am emails” sent during Tara’s night shifts, the team at Manor Hill ensured the day ran like clockwork.

Childhood Sweethearts, Timeless Style

Tara was a vision in a Morelle gown from TDR Bridal, paired with a cathedral-length veil. Her choice of footwear held a sentimental secret: a pair of white satin Ted Baker heels with a delicate bow—a gift Josh had given her for her 21st birthday.

The Wedding Party:

  • The Groom: Josh and his groomsmen looked dapper in suits from Peter Posh, where the service was “10/10.”

  • The Bridesmaids: Six of Tara’s closest loved ones—her two sisters and four best friends—wore elegant cowl-neck sage green dresses from Six Stories.

  • The Florals: In a lovely personal touch, the flowers were designed and created by Josh’s mum, perfectly complementing the sage green and blush pink palette.

A Ceremony of Tears and Tunes

The ceremony took place in the rustic charm of the Manor Hill House Barn. As Tara walked down the aisle to the strains of Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect,” there wasn’t a dry eye in the house—especially when the lyrics reached: “We were just kids when we fell in love.”

For their first dance, the couple opted for a classic: “L-O-V-E” by Nat King Cole. A nod to Tara and her younger sister’s favourite movie, The Parent Trap, it was a song Tara had promised since childhood would be her first dance.

Food, Magic, and Mini-Golf

Being a smaller, intimate wedding of 50 guests, the atmosphere was thick with love. The food was a major highlight, starting with a variety of canapés from mini fish and chips to vegetable samosas. For the main event, guests chose between roast beef or salmon, followed by a trio of desserts featuring the couple’s favourites: Crème Brûlée, Sticky Toffee Pudding, and Mango Cheesecake.

The entertainment kept the energy high all day:

  • The Modern Conman: A magician who left guests spellbound.

  • Caricature Artist: Providing a unique, personal keepsake for every guest.

  • To Have and To Holed: A mini-golf course that provided fun for all ages.

  • Saxophonist & DJ: Keeping the dance floor moving into the night.

Reflections on Forever

Despite a last-minute photographer cancellation a few months prior, Tara believes everything happens for a reason. Sophie Burrows stepped in and captured the day perfectly, including Tara’s favourite moment: running through the open fields for their couple’s portraits.

“I loved walking down the aisle and knowing the love of my life was standing at the end waiting to spend forever with me,” Tara says. “It was small, intimate, and perfect.”

The newlyweds followed their dream day with a sun-soaked honeymoon, starting in Miami before embarking on a two-week Caribbean cruise.
