Exclusively yours . . . Mr & Mrs Harris
At Manor Hill House, we pride ourselves on making every couple’s wedding day special, no matter how much time they have to plan. Charlotte and Ben are proof that you don’t need a year to create a magical wedding. With just seven weeks of planning, their June wedding was a beautiful event, made possible by our late availability offer, which gave them 50% off venue hire. Here’s a peek into their incredible day!
Ben and Charlotte met on Tinder and after 18 months together, Ben popped the question during a dreamy getaway to Santorini, Greece. When it came to planning their big day, they embraced the whirlwind experience of planning a wedding in just under two months.
“Before our wedding, I was a firm believer that I would need at least a year to plan it, but I am so glad that we had it last minute and I would strongly encourage more people to do it. It was fantastic fun to plan, and we actually found it very easy. We did not get stressed at all, I suppose because we didn’t have time to worry or change our mind about things, and there truthfully isn’t a single thing I would change about it.”
A touch of Greece
Guests were treated to an incredible selection of food, starting with canapés like mini burgers, Yorkshire puddings, and brie bites. The three-course bistro menu featured a ham hock terrine starter, fish and chips for main, and a trio of desserts. As the evening continued, guests enjoyed a BBQ, an ice cream trike, and a sweet cart – keeping the fun and food going well into the night.

Manor Hill House was the first and only venue Ben and Charlotte visited, and it was love at first sight. “Manor Hill was the perfect combination of everything we wanted and reflected our personalities beautifully. A massive selling point for us was that it is pet-friendly, so we could have our puppy with us to be part of the day. It was the only venue we viewed, and we knew it was the one!”. Their beloved dog, Hugo, even had a starring role as the ring bearer, adding a personal touch to an already unique day.
During their wedding breakfast, they took more of an entertaining route, rather than a traditional sit down meal, and booked singing waiters! “The singing waiters—they were absolutely fabulous, I’m so glad we booked them”.
In the evening, they fed their guests with a Greek inspired BBQ. Featuring locally sourced sausages, minced beef burgers, lamb koftas and halloumi. The couple also had personalised wedding favours: pink pouches with love heart sweets and evil eye bracelets (a Greek tradition) for the ladies, and blue pouches for the men. It was the perfect nod to their love of Greece and a meaningful touch for their guests.
Choosing a color theme for a wedding can be one of the most exciting yet challenging decisions for couples. It’s not just about picking shades that look good together, but about finding a palette that reflects their personalities, tastes, and shared experiences. Many couples want their wedding to feel uniquely “them,” which means considering colours that symbolise important moments in their relationship or places they’ve been, like the vibrant hues of a favourite holiday destination or the soft tones of a meaningful memory.
Drawing inspiration from their Greek engagement, Ben and Charlotte chose a colour palette of ocean blue, hot pink, with gold and silver accents. The bold hues created a vibrant and playful atmosphere that was both unique and deeply personal. The bridesmaids wore stunning one-shoulder chiffon dresses in ocean blue, while the groomsmen donned sharp navy tweed suits with baby pink ties from Blooms Menswear. Charlotte’s stunning wedding dress was by Allure Bridal, purchased from TDR Bridal, whilst Ben complemented her perfectly in a navy tweed three-piece suit from Blooms Menswear, which featured a grey checked waistcoat and a baby pink tie.
