Kirsty and Andy’s Beautiful Wedding Day
Kirsty and Andy’s love story began with a gentle nudge from fate — and their bosses. Though Kirsty had no idea, Andy had been told weeks in advance that he’d be picking her up for a “farmer’s dinner.” He didn’t even live nearby! That dinner marked the beginning of a relationship that would span nine years and four months — a journey Kirsty felt had prepared them for everything… including wedding planning!
The ceremony was held at Droitwich Methodist Church, a place deeply rooted in Kirsty’s childhood. “It was important to me to get married somewhere that shaped me growing up,” she shared. “So many members of the congregation babysat me, taught me, and supported me. I wanted them to be a part of our day.”
Over 100 guests filled the church, with friends and members pulling together to make the day run seamlessly — from door stewards and parking attendants to the lovingly prepared gardens. The same church where Kirsty’s mother was married decades earlier felt like home once again, now filled with music, laughter, and heartfelt readings from her mum and a dear family friend.
After the ceremony, 54 guests joined the couple at Manor Hill House, with 80 attending the evening celebrations. From the moment Kirsty and Andy first visited, they felt welcomed and at ease. “We loved the relaxed but professional vibe,” they said. “The team were always accommodating, and the easy access and parking made it perfect for all our guests.”
The couple chose soft dusty pink and sky blue tones to set the scene — colours inspired by the seasonal blooms in their own garden. Handmade touches added warmth and charm: each place setting included hand-written names and a sprig of fresh garden flowers.
Dinner featured cider pork belly, followed by a trio of puddings that told their own sweet story: sticky toffee pudding (Andy’s favourite), lemon posset (Kirsty’s favourite), and chocolate brownie (because, well — who doesn’t love chocolate?). For the evening? A relaxed, help-yourself pizza bar, fresh from a wood-fired oven.
Andy wore a country-style blue tweed suit from Moss Bros, a nod to their rural roots. His accessories held deep personal meaning — cufflinks and a gold pocket watch that belonged to Kirsty’s late grandfather, who passed away earlier that year.
Kirsty’s bridesmaids wore beautiful sky-blue dresses from JJ’s House, marking the first time the trio had ever been dressed up together. The groomsmen matched the groom’s country style with their own twist — stag cufflinks and tie pins to celebrate their shared love of the outdoors.
This day was not just about the two of them — it was a full family and friends affair. The bouquets and floral decorations were lovingly created by a close friend and colleague using flowers from her own garden. The wedding car? A stunning 1905 Rolls Royce owned by the same family who introduced the couple, lovingly restored and filled with history.
Music in the church was provided by the choir and band who had practiced for weeks, while DJ Chris — a familiar face from school discos — brought nostalgic fun to the evening dance floor.
One very special guest made an appearance too — Kirsty’s horse, welcomed by the team at Manor Hill House. “It meant so much to include him and get some beautiful photos,” Kirsty said. “He’s such a big part of my life.”

A Wedding with Heart
Despite an unexpected challenge — Kirsty broke her leg seven weeks before the big day and required surgery — the couple pressed on with courage, love, and the support of their family and venue team. Though they postponed their honeymoon while Kirsty recovers, they’ve spent their first weeks as newlyweds enjoying garden renovations and peaceful days out.
Kirsty and Andy didn’t use wedding directories, instead relying on Manor Hill House’s recommended supplier list, which they found incredibly helpful. Their chosen creatives brought the day to life, including:

Final Thoughts
For Kirsty and Andy, there was no one “best moment” — just the overwhelming joy of a day filled with love, laughter, and togetherness. “The whole thing was a bit of a blur,” they said, “but we knew we wanted something relaxed, meaningful, and personal. That’s exactly what we had.”
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Thompson – thank you for letting us be part of your beautiful day!
