Some weddings feel like they’re pulled straight from a fairytale – and Gemma and Chris’ big day at Manor Hill House was exactly that. From a Beauty and the Beast-inspired soundtrack to an elegant emerald green and navy theme, every detail reflected their story and personalities in the most heartfelt way.

The Love Story

Gemma and Chris met online and, after just over two years together, decided to take the next step and get engaged. With a shared love of fun, family, and magic (more on that later!), they spent just over a year planning a wedding day that was personal, joyful, and full of little surprises.

A Venue Close to the Heart

When it came to choosing their venue, there was no contest. Manor Hill House had already impressed the couple when they attended a previous reception there. They loved the setting, the flexibility, the food – and the fact that it was pet-friendly. But what sealed the deal was something a little more magical.

“During our venue visit, Beauty and the Beast was playing in the background,” Gemma recalls. “It was my favourite film to watch with my Grandad – it felt like a sign.”

The Fashion

The bride found her dream dress at Hagley Bridal Studio, and although the designer name remains a mystery, she looked every bit the leading lady. The groom brought his own style twist to the day, wearing a striking green suit jacket and waistcoat with a black floral design, paired with classic black trousers – all from Aristocracy London.

The bridal party looked stunning in velvet emerald green infinity dresses, while the groomsmen wore smart blue three-piece suits. With two bridesmaids, two “brides-men,” and five groomsmen, the couple were surrounded by love and laughter all day long.

Ceremony Moments

Their ceremony was full of emotional touches and unforgettable moments. As Gemma walked down the aisle to the orchestral version of Beauty and the Beast, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. And in true unique style, the newlyweds walked back down the aisle to the orchestral version of Death of a Bachelor – a fun and fitting choice for a couple who blend tradition with a twist.

Afternoon Tea & Thoughtful Touches

Gemma and Chris chose to do something a little different for their wedding breakfast – serving a delicious afternoon tea. It was a nod to something they hadn’t seen at weddings before, and it perfectly suited the relaxed-yet-refined vibe of the day.

For wedding favours, guests received goody bags including a scratch card, a bottle opener, a magnet, sweets, and chocolate – a fun and thoughtful gift that had something for everyone.

As the sun set over Manor Hill House, the evening party kicked off with a DJ set from CLS Entertainment and a photobooth that brought out everyone’s inner child. It was a joyful celebration filled with dancing, laughter, and beautiful memories.

When asked about her favourite moment of the day, Gemma didn’t hesitate:

“Walking down the aisle and seeing him waiting for me.”

Honeymoon Magic

Though the couple didn’t go on a traditional honeymoon right away, they’d already planned a magical trip to Disney World, Florida, even before the proposal. Naturally, they took the opportunity to enjoy some honeymoon moments there and have plans for future mini-moons too.
